About

I am a JD candidate at the University of Ottawa. The idea of this blog came after I completed an internship at a criminal defense firm in Ottawa.

In experiencing the criminal justice system in practice, I noticed that there were many gaps between theory and practice and other issue areas that I wanted to highlight. This blog discusses some of these topics and will hopefully provide a jumping off point for how we can improve the administration of criminal justice in Canada.

A little bit more about me…I have a Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution from Georgetown University and a Bachelor (Honours) of Social Science in International Development from the University of Ottawa. I also have a background in communications and teaching.
